FIVE WAYS TO EXERCISE YOUR DOG INDOORS

1. HIDE & SEEK

Playing hide and seek is a rewarding and fun exercise for your dog. Tell your dog to sit in a room and go hide. Then call your dog name and let your dog come find you or you can hide a treat and let your dog find the treat.

2. FETCH
If you have a spacious area in your home this is a game your dog will love to play indoors. Just toss an object like a (ball, toy or bone) and let your dog retrieve it and bring back to you.

3. RUN YOUR DOG UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS
If your home has lots of stairs, then you can run your dog up and down the staircase. This is a great way for your dog to get exercise on those days you can’t take them outside.

4. KEEP AWAY
Keep away is a very fun game your dog will enjoy playing. You will need to have space in your home and another person besides yourself to make this game work. Take a ball that you can easily put in your hand and throw it to each other and let your dog have fun trying to get the ball.

5. TUG OF WAR
Tug of war is another great game that can be played indoors with your dog. Get your dog favorite toy and let your dog try and pull it away from you. If you sense your dog getting overly aggressive or to competitive slow down the game or stop the game to change your dog mood.
